Studying Abroad

Students at the BSPH can gain study experience abroad for a limited period during their studies.

MScPH students can apply for the Erasmus-Program. Students from our Erasmus partner universities are also welcome to apply for a study visit to the MScPH in Berlin.

In addition, all students have the opportunity to choose on their own initiative from a large number of public health-relevant summer schools and intensive short courses abroad and and have them included in the elective modules.

How, when, where?

Participation in the Erasmus program is only possible for students in the consecutive Master of Science in Public Health. The MScPH has Erasmus partner agreements with the following universities:

An Erasmus stay abroad usually begins in the winter semester. At the MScPH the exchange is planned for the 3rd semester. At least 3 and maximum 12 months (at least 15 ECTS and up to 30 ECTS) can be spent abroad. The length of stay offered varies depending on the host university.

Application deadline Erasmus: end of November each year for a stay in the following academic year, i.e. the deadline applies both to a stay abroad in the winter or summer semester.

The Erasmus Office of the Charité is the first point of contact for public health students, coordinates the application procedure and takes over the organisational support.

For stays abroad organised on one's own initiative, the deadlines are usually flexible and can often be realised at short notice. Only the proof of achievement must be submitted (e.g. module certificate or Transcript of Records).
